What is TaxJar?

Why do we need Tax Management?

On June 21, 2018, the United States Supreme Court ruled 5-4 in the South Dakota v. Wayfair case that states could mandate that businesses without a physical presence in a state with more than 200 transactions or $100,000 in-state sales collect and remit sales taxes on transactions in the state. This overturned the Quill v. North Dakota decision in 1967.

Wes notes a few exceptions to this ruling such as when the marketplace is not a MoR or when state-by-state laws differ otherwise. For more information, Wes urges individuals to seek out financial and legal advice from the professionals.
